So, when is the best time to create seasonal content?

Seasonal content is a great way to get recurring downloads year after year. Our users are always looking for themed templates tied to holidays, big events, or sporting occasions, and if you’re prepared, your work can stay relevant and in demand every season.


The trick is all in the timing. Seasonal content typically starts trending 3–6 months before the event, giving designers plenty of time to create, get approvals, finalize their designs, and distribute them. That’s why it’s a good idea to start seasonal projects well in advance, so your assets are ready to go well in advance. Be sure to allow extra time for curation, fixes and approval, too, so everything is in place when demand peaks.


For example, if you’re designing for Christmas, you’ll want your assets ready by August or September. Valentine’s Day content should be prepared by October or November, and so on. Planning ahead ensures your work gets in front of users exactly when they’re searching for it—and gives you a little breathing room to perfect your designs.
